When you click "Save to Notion", the extension reads the content of the current tab inside your browser, converts it to Notion blocks, and sends it directly from your browser to Notion's API (api.notion.com) using the access token Notion issued to you. The page content is never sent to Malvatech servers. The extension does not read pages in the background; it acts only when you click it (activeTab permission).
Stored locally (chrome.storage): your Notion access token, workspace name, the list of databases you shared, your last-used database, a count of clips made this month, an anonymous random install identifier, and your licence key if you have one. You can erase everything by clicking "Disconnect" or uninstalling the extension.
Our server (clip.malvatech.app, hosted on Cloudflare) handles two things: (1) the Notion sign-in handshake, where it exchanges Notion's authorization code for your access token and passes the token back to the extension without storing it; (2) licence key validation, where it receives your licence key and anonymous install identifier and checks them with our payment provider. We keep aggregate daily counters (number of sign-ins, number of licence checks) with no personal data. Cloudflare may log IP addresses for security for a short period under its own policy.
Pro purchases are processed by Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record. Polar collects your email and payment details under its own privacy policy; we receive your email address and the licence key to provide support and refunds.
No analytics or tracking scripts in the extension. No advertising. No selling or sharing of data with third parties beyond Notion (at your request) and Polar (for payments). No remote code: all code ships inside the extension package.
You can request access to or deletion of any data we hold about you (in practice: your purchase email and licence key) by writing to supporto@malvatech.app. EU/EEA users have the rights set out in the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
