Notion Web Clipper vs Full Clip: the difference is what ends up on the page
The official Notion Web Clipper is free, made by Notion, and installed by about a million people. Its rating (around 3.3 stars over roughly 600 reviews when we checked) tells the other half of the story: the most common complaints are that a clip arrives as just a title and a link, that the extension stops working for no visible reason, and that the database you want doesn't show up in the picker.
Full Clip exists to fix the first problem and to be predictable about the other two. Here is the comparison, including the points where the official clipper is simply better.

When the official clipper is the right choice
If you mostly save links to read later, clip from your phone, or never want to think about a database, stay with the official one: it is free, it lives in the Notion mobile apps, and a link is all you need. Full Clip is for the moment you open last month's clip and find a title, a URL and nothing else, because the page changed or the paywall closed.
What "real Notion blocks" means
Full Clip reads the page the way Reader Mode does, converts the article to Notion's block format and writes it through Notion's own API with your token. A heading becomes a heading block, a code sample keeps its language, a table becomes a Notion table. You can edit, search and link the text like anything else you wrote in Notion. Nothing passes through our servers: our tiny worker only completes the Notion sign-in and checks licence keys.
Switching
- Install Full Clip and click Connect Notion; share the databases you clip into.
- Keep the official clipper for mobile if you like — the two don't conflict.
- Your old link-only clips stay as they are; Full Clip doesn't touch existing pages.
